Chanel Spring 2010 Haute Couture

Chanel Couture Spring 2010 by Karl Lagerfeld.

I love the pastel colors and the tacky silver metallic shoes are actually kind of cute too.

Sunday is here and we all know what that means....

....absolutely nothing.  It's Lazy Sunday darlings.

Meditate lately?  You should....here's how if you didn't know already and below is some great meditation music.

I don't go to church on Sundays.  I have identified as a buddhist for several years now.
Kusala Bhikshu is a buddhist monk who lives and works at  the International Buddhist Meditation Center in LA.  I listen to his podcasts, watch his videos, and read his talks...he has been sort of a spiritual guide for me.

If you are buddhist, or are interested in buddhist philosophy and such...you should really check him out...he is really good at helping western born people relate and understand buddhism and how to implement buddhist teaching into modern life.

Here is a video of Rev. Kusala giving a talk on Karma...this is part 1 of 4...the rest can be found on youtube.com.

Man On Wire

My ISP wireless router laptop...uh I don't know, whatever...something has not been working lately so in my absence from Into The Ninth this past week...I have been watching lots of TV and movies.  I watched this BBC documentary yesterday called Man On Wire on the Sundance Channel.

I cried and laughed and all that...it's a wonderful story of passion, love, determination and following your dreams no matter how crazy they are!  Nothing is impossible!  Watching this little cute frenchman walk across a wire suspended from one of the twin towers to the other was visually stunning.

That man has got some gigantic balls.

It was such a great movie.  Pierre (pictured above) is such an interesting man and his passion for wire walking was really beautiful to me.  He's a great storyteller too.  Check it out!

You can dowload the movie on itunes for $14.99 or rent it for $3.99.

Oh, hell yes!

Spanx is making swimwear now!  Fucking yay!  They're a little pricey but they're worth it if you're like me and you wont go to the pool or the beach because your post baby body is not as "perfect" as it used to be and all the other "slimming" swim wear looks like grandma's bathing suit from 1964, ya dig?

My favorite is above but there are a bunch of really cute suits to choose from.

Oh summer, I wait for you!

Sightsee'n and Playing God

Who doesn't love Polyvore??

If I had the time, it was warmer outside, and I had a bicycle...I would wear something like this and go sight seeing in the city up the road (DC).

Spring, I can wait no longer.  *tear*

This Is Why Your Fat

I've just spent almost an hour on This Is Why Your Fat: Where Dreams Become Heart Attacks, another website I found on Geeks On The Inside.

I'm sorry, but for me...this classifies as art...so this is my "Sketchy Saturday" post.  Take it or leave it.

I hope you're either really hungry or you have a trash bin nearby to blow chunks in.  I know my tummy hurts a little bit after looking at these pics.

Enjoy!

Tony’s BLT: One pound of fried bacon on a toasted Italian bread with lettuce, tomato and mayo.

The Morning Glory - Sausage, egg and cheese sandwiched inside a glazed cinnamon roll.

The Double Coronary Burger - A burger topped with five slices of bacon, four slices of cheese, two fried eggs, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onion between two grilled cheese sandwiches.

Chocolate Covered Bacon Maple Donut Bar

The Sausage McStuffin’ - Sausage McMuffins with jelly donuts inside.

Ouch, yes?

I do love chocholate chip cookies dipped in nacho cheese, or ranch Corn Nuts stuffed inside a chocolate hostess cupcake...mmmmmm.

I think I'm going to go to Taco Bell...they have that 5 layer something or another for less than a dollar!  Holla for a dolla!  Woot woot.  Yea, ima do that.

Do you have any favorite strange and/or super fattening food combo's?

Share them.  Better yet, post a pic on This Is Why Your Fat.

Cut my own hair, yo.

I was bored and decided to cut my hurrrrr (that's hair for those of you who don't speak Maryland)...just trimmed everything up and added some BANG.

It looks like shit, yes?  You can be honest.  I think it does, but just a little.

Oh well.  Hair always grows back.

Black Friday

February’s Dazed & Confused highlights the trend of sportswear inspired pieces in a 10 page spread photographed by Karim Sadli. With the aide of stylist Karen Langley, Saldi captures Valerija Kelava looking beautifully sullen in looks from Chloé, Jean Paul Gaultier and Balenciaga.

...actually today, but you get the point.

If you know anything about dance, you know Mia Michaels...I happen to be an uber fan of SYTYCD and she's a very popular choreographer for the show.  Recently, she's resigned from the American version of the show so I was happy to find a routine she's done for Canada's SYTYCD called "This Moment".  It's so beautiful...like a New World tribal dance around a neon fire...love it.

This next video, "Hurra is a film about who you are", created by Danish artist and movie director, Sidse Carstens and is part of the VideoVideo project related to one of my FAVORITE bands NEPHEW and their new album Denmarkdenmark.

Film director Michael Noer picked 12 visual artists to interpret one song each. The artists were granted complete artistic freedom. Members of the band appear in some of the videos.

This song is one of my favorites from the new album.  By the way, if you haven't already, download NEPHEW's new album on itunes...most of their lyrics are in Dutch with English thrown in at just the right time...I promise you'll love their music.  Click on the link below after you watch the video and download their album (check out their last album too)!

My most reccommended tracks: "Police Bells & Church Sirens", "007 Is Also Gonna Die", "Mexico Ligger I Spanien", and "Igen & Igen &".
